Two things are happening about this time of year, Star Wars marathons and holiday parties. I wanted to make a classy drink to go with the Star Wars marathons that will be happening as people prepare to go see Star Wars today! I know some have already seen it yesterday, but not everyone will be able to go see it right away. I will be seeing it Saturday, since when I bought my tickets (in October), only the very front row was available and I didn’t want to see this epic movie followed by a neck cramp. So this is for all those still marathoning or have plans to watch more Star Wars through the holiday season. This is an easy pleaser of those that do not like wine also. My boyfriend makes that sour face when he takes a sip of wine. He has had three servings of this sangria in one night.
Here is the drink that I am naming the Sith Sangria, in honor of the rise of a new Sith Lord.
These are simple ingredients that make this a little easier during the holiday season that don’t take much prep at all. The leftover Fireball Whiskey can even be saved for some spicy Holiday punch, or just take a few shots with it.
Sith Sangria: Ingredients
- 1 cup of frozen raspberries
- 1 orange sliced
- Juice of 1 orange
- 1 bottle of 473ml Pom pomegranate juice
- 1 cup of Fireball Whiskey
- 1 bottle of red wine (I used Copper Moon)
Refrigerate this mixture for several hours or overnight.
Pour into wine glasses, including some of the fruit mixture.
Top with dark ginger-ale to taste. Some like theirs more sweet, so you can add as much or as little as you like. (You can try substituting for regular ginger ale if you don’t have dark)
Press play on an epic sci-fi space drama between good and evil.
I hope you enjoyed this little trip to the dark side, Thank You for reading!
Here is the trailer as well, because it’s best to avoid YouTube comments, or just comments anywhere till you watch the movie. That includes Instagram, I almost stumbled on a spoiler already.
