Tonight is Christmas Eve and today I would like to share my favorite Christmas decorations I have right now. A couple new ones, and some I’ve had since I started collecting my own ornaments. My most sentimental ones are on my parents Christmas tree, the family tree, but these ones are my fun starter ornaments. I wanted to get a sentimental one, one to document my little ‘family’ with my boyfriend and our two cats, and I got a really sweet, unexpected surprise the other day that I talk about later in this post.
This is my Pikachu ornament, I have one on my parents’ tree, and I saw this in a little boutique type store and I had to buy it. Just to even pay homage to my childhood days of playing Pokemon, and Santa Pikachu is so cute.
This Dahlek might be defective, it might be because of his broken manipulator arm, but he has yet to exterminate anything below on or the Christmas tree. I always think of England and Doctor Who when I think of Christmas, maybe it’s those Christmas specials they have each Holiday season.
These I think were picked up in the Christmas frenzy. We had no ornaments at the time and love The Big Bang Theory, and just randomly grabbed these. They came in a pack of four, but with the tiny little tree we currently have, only one made it up there.
Grabbed this gem from The Disney Store last week, and it was one of the few Star Wars Christmas ornaments they had left. I was disappointed there was no BB-8 ornament, but maybe a post-Christmas one will turn up. I am glad I got this one since it is from my favorite Star Wars movie, A New Hope.
I just love these little light police phone boxes, I mean Tardis lights. I added some blue tinsel and icicle lights to bring the blue out a bit more and make the Tardis’s ‘float’ more. It also hides the cord and give off more light. I try to think of ways to bring these lights out year round, but Christmas is just the best time for Doctor Who.
My little personalized ornament was given to me by my current manager, who sneakily asked for my boyfriends name and if we had any pets, and to write them down. This was way back in October, saying it was for a game she may or may not do. I was so touched she arranged for this personal gift, especially when I was thinking of doing something similar to this. I was thinking of getting little paw ornaments, but they wouldn’t let me do that, ha-ha.
Here’s my tiny little tree, I don’t want to invest in a big one until I move into a bigger place. I plan to have it grow with ornaments as the years pass and one day I will have a tree filled with sentimental ornaments to call my own.
