In honor of Valentines Day, 5FF had initiated we celebrate Womances, woman-relationships. Here I have a list of women in relationships, friendships and romantic ones, and some maybe a little of both. Enjoy!
1. Rory and Lane – Gilmore Girls
Watching Gilmore Girls, as Rory and Lane grew, I felt like they became completely different people, but once they were together, it was like both of their lives completely still melded with each other. Rory was still interested in what album Lane was obsessing over that week, and Lane still supported all of Rorys boy and school issues. Even though they seemed to grow apart, they never really did.
2. Buffy and Willow – Buffy the Vampire Slayer
That scene in ‘Choices’ was one of my favourite Buffy/Willow moments, just so sweet. She gave up doing something amazing, not only for her friend, but for the whole premise of the show, fighting evil etc. etc, but the feels were there. There bond doesn’t seem to fall apart till the comic series, which is a little disappointing for me. I need to catch up, but I hope things get better for them.
3. Leslie and Ann – Parks and Recreation
At first I was going to do Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, but Leslie Knope had such a girl crush on Ann Perkins is had to be mentioned. Maybe the key to their amazing companionship is the amount of compliments that Leslie showers Anne with… just maybe. Check this out for evidence.
4. Regina and Emma – Once Upon a Time
This is an odd, complicated friendship, and because of the son and mother role they share, it won’t easily be shattered. They had a rough path getting to that point of trust, but in the current season since Emma sacrificed the good in her to save Regina from going dark again, it definitely changed their relationship drastically.
5. Marceline and Princess Bubblegum – Adventure Time
I recently read something that explains that PB and Marceline were once together, and there’s little Easter Eggs that give little clues. Either way, the friendship, romantic relationship, they have a strong partnership. The Marceline vampire arc that Adventure Time recently did had a lot of time with the two of them, I hope they have them together more in future episodes. Heres a little clip.
